  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup lump crab meat
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
Seasonings
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce Halal-friendly version available
  • 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it’s nice and hot for baking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Mix in the shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Gently fold in the lump crab meat. Be careful not to break it apart too much.
  5. Sprinkle in the Old Bay seasoning along with salt and pepper to your desired taste.
  6. Lightly grease a baking dish and transfer the dip mixture into it. Spread it evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and slightly golden on top.
  8. Once out of the oven, let it cool for a couple of minutes. Serve it up with crackers, pita chips, or fresh veggies for dipping.

Notes

For a healthier option, replace some cream cheese with Greek yogurt. Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature for even mixing.
