- In a large mixing bowl, pour the boiling water over the gelatin powder. Stir until completely dissolved.
- Once the gelatin is dissolved, add the cold water to the mixture and stir well to combine.
- Pour the mixture into egg-shaped molds or a simple round dish. You can also use a cupcake tray or small plastic cups for fun individual servings.
- Place your molds in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
- Once set, carefully remove the jello from the molds by dipping them briefly in warm water to loosen the edges.
- Arrange your Jello eggs on a platter and top with dollops of whipped cream and slices of fresh fruit.
Notes
For a healthier option, try sugar-free gelatin. Avoid adding fruit directly to the gelatin mixture before it sets to maintain presentation. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator and enjoy within 3 days for optimal flavor and texture.
