  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese Sharp cheddar adds a rich flavor.
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh jalapeños Seeds removed for less heat.
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper Optional, for an extra kick.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine shredded cheese, jalapeños, almond flour, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Using a spoon, scoop small amounts of the cheese mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each mound.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown and cheese has melted.
  2. Remove from oven and cool for a few minutes. They will firm up as they cool.

Notes

Customize cheese types and monitor baking time to avoid burning. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature; they last up to a week.
