Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with the minced garlic, fresh parsley, and salt. Stir until well combined.
- Cut the sourdough loaf in half lengthwise, or slice it into smaller pieces for easier serving.
- Generously spread the garlic-butter mixture over the cut sides of the bread.
- If desired, sprinkle grated parmesan or mozzarella over the garlic spread.
Baking
- Place the prepared bread on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the garlic is fragrant.
Serving
- Remove from the oven, let cool for a minute, slice into portions, and serve warm.
Notes
Use high-quality sourdough for best results. Store in an airtight container for 2-3 days, or freeze for up to three months. Reheat in a toaster oven or conventional oven.
