Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 large sourdough bread loaf (daily fresh)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and black pepper until well mixed.
  3. Carefully cut the sourdough loaf in half lengthwise, placing both halves cut-side up on a baking sheet.
  4. Generously slather the garlic butter mixture over the exposed sides of the sourdough loaves.
Baking
  1. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the garlic is aromatic.
  2. Remove from the oven, slice it into individual pieces, and serve warm.

Notes

Adjust your garlic level to preference. Mixing in cheese or other herbs can enhance flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze for 2-3 months. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
