Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
- Take the sourdough loaf and make deep cuts across the top, creating slices without cutting all the way through the bottom.
- Using a butter knife, generously spread the garlic butter mixture in between the slices and over the top of the bread.
- If you’re feeling indulgent, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
- Wrap the entire loaf in aluminum foil.
Baking
- Place the wrapped bread in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
- For an added crispy finish, unwrap the bread and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
Serving
- Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and serve it warm.
Notes
Storage: If you have leftovers, store wrapped in foil or an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
