  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened 1 stick
  • 4-6 cloves garlic, minced Adjust based on your love for garlic
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped or 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup grated cheese (optional, like mozzarella) For a cheesy twist

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Slice the sourdough loaf diagonally into thick pieces, ensuring not to cut all the way through the bottom.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture into each of the cuts made in the bread.
Baking
  1. Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and bake for about 15-20 minutes.
  2. If adding cheese, open the foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
Serving
  1. Unwrap the bread and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
