Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Slice the sourdough loaf diagonally into thick pieces, ensuring not to cut all the way through the bottom.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture into each of the cuts made in the bread.
Baking
- Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and bake for about 15-20 minutes.
- If adding cheese, open the foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
Serving
- Unwrap the bread and serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
