Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set it aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Baking
  1. Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  3. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
