  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 pieces apples, peeled and diced Use firm varieties like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 pieces eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  5. Fold the diced apples into the dry mixture.
  6. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredient bowl and stir until combined.
  7. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  8. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top and swirl it in.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and the oats are set.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing into squares and serving warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4-5 days. To freeze, slice and wrap each piece tightly. Thaw in the fridge and reheat in the microwave when ready to enjoy.
