Irish Coffee Recipe

Cozy up with this classic Irish Coffee recipe! A warm blend of smooth coffee, Irish whiskey, brown sugar, and whipped cream, it's the perfect treat for chilly evenings or a festive occasion.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup hot brewed coffee
  • 1 ½ ounces 3 tablespoons Irish whiskey
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar or granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream lightly whipped

Equipment

  • Heatproof glass or mug
  • Spoon
  • Measuring spoons
  • Whisk or handheld frother

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Glass:
  2. Preheat your glass or mug by rinsing it with hot water. Pour out the water before making the drink.
  3. Combine Coffee, Whiskey, and Sugar:
  4. Add the brown sugar to the glass. Pour in the hot coffee and stir until the sugar dissolves.
  5. Add the Irish Whiskey:
  6. Stir in the Irish whiskey, blending it well with the coffee mixture.
  7. Top with Cream:
  8. Lightly whip the heavy cream until it thickens slightly but is still pourable. Gently float the cream on top of the coffee by pouring it over the back of a spoon.
  9. Serve:
  10. Do not stir. Drink through the cream for the classic Irish Coffee experience.
