Irish Coffee Recipe
Cozy up with this classic Irish Coffee recipe! A warm blend of smooth coffee, Irish whiskey, brown sugar, and whipped cream, it's the perfect treat for chilly evenings or a festive occasion.
- 1 cup hot brewed coffee
- 1 ½ ounces 3 tablespoons Irish whiskey
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar or granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream lightly whipped
Prepare the Glass:
Preheat your glass or mug by rinsing it with hot water. Pour out the water before making the drink.
Combine Coffee, Whiskey, and Sugar:
Add the brown sugar to the glass. Pour in the hot coffee and stir until the sugar dissolves.
Add the Irish Whiskey:
Stir in the Irish whiskey, blending it well with the coffee mixture.
Top with Cream:
Lightly whip the heavy cream until it thickens slightly but is still pourable. Gently float the cream on top of the coffee by pouring it over the back of a spoon.
Serve:
Do not stir. Drink through the cream for the classic Irish Coffee experience.
