Iced Matcha Latte Recipe

This iced matcha latte recipe is a refreshing, creamy, and energizing drink that’s easy to make at home! Perfectly balanced with vibrant matcha flavor and a touch of sweetness.

Equipment

  • Whisk (or matcha whisk, if available)
  • Small bowl
  • Spoon
  • Tall glass

Ingredients
  

  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder ceremonial or culinary grade
  • 2 tablespoons hot water not boiling
  • 1 cup milk of choice dairy, almond, oat, or coconut milk
  • 1-2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup optional, adjust to taste
  • Ice cubes

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Matcha
  • In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder with hot water until smooth and frothy. If you have a bamboo matcha whisk, use it to create a smooth consistency. If not, a small whisk or fork works as well.
  • Sweeten (Optional)
  • If you prefer a sweetened latte, add honey or maple syrup to the matcha mixture and stir until dissolved.
  • Add Ice and Milk
  • Fill a tall glass with ice cubes, then pour in your milk of choice.
  • Combine with Matcha
  • Pour the prepared matcha over the milk and ice. Stir well to mix, or leave slightly layered for a beautiful visual effect.
  • Serve and Enjoy
