Prepare the Potatoes:
Wash and peel the potatoes (if preferred). Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4-inch thick, for even cooking.
Soak the Fries:
Place the potato strips in a bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes. This removes excess starch and helps achieve crispier fries.
Season the Fries:
Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a clean towel. In a large bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3–5 minutes.
Cook the Fries:
Arrange the seasoned potato strips in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the fries are golden brown and crispy.
Add Garlic and Parmesan:
While the fries are still hot, transfer them to a bowl. Toss with the minced garlic and grated parmesan cheese. The heat from the fries will slightly melt the parmesan and release the garlic’s aroma.
Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle with fresh parsley for a pop of color and extra flavor. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce, like garlic aioli or marinara.
