Hot Honey Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb chicken thighs or breast cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper optional, for extra heat
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 –2 tbsp hot sauce adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil for frying
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Season the Chicken:
  • Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
  • Coat the Chicken:
  • In one bowl, mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs.
  • Dip each piece of chicken in the flour mixture, then in the egg, and then back in the flour mixture for an extra crispy coating.
  • Fry the Chicken:
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the chicken pieces and cook for about 5–7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Prepare the Hot Honey Sauce:
  • In a small saucepan, combine the honey, hot sauce, and butter. Stir and heat over low heat until the butter is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  • Coat the Chicken:
  • Drizzle the hot honey sauce over the fried chicken pieces, or toss them in the sauce until evenly coated.
  • Serve:
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley for an extra pop of color and flavor.
