Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Cut into strips
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour For coating chicken
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup buttermilk Or plant-based alternative
  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning
  • as needed oil Oil for frying Choose a neutral frying oil
For the Biscuits
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cold butter Cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk Or plant-based alternative
For the Hot Honey
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1-2 tsp chili flakes Adjust to your spice preference

Method
 

Prepare the Chicken
  1. Cut the chicken breasts into strips.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each chicken strip into the buttermilk, then dredge in the flour mixture until coated. Set aside.
Make the Biscuits
  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Pour in the milk and stir until just combined, being careful not to overwork the dough.
Fry the Chicken
  1. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Fry the chicken strips for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
Bake the Biscuits
  1. Drop spoonfuls of biscuit dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
Prepare the Hot Honey
  1. In a small saucepan, gently heat the honey and chili flakes over low heat. Stir well to combine.
Assemble
  1. Slice the biscuits in half, add the crispy chicken, and drizzle with hot honey. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, serve immediately. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Freeze chicken and biscuits separately for up to 3 months.
