Preparation
- In a small bowl, whisk the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, and olive oil to prepare the marinade.
- Place the salmon fillets in a large bowl or platter and sprinkle them with salt and pepper.
- Pour the honey garlic mixture over the salmon and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Cooking
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add a touch of olive oil.
- Place the marinated salmon fillets skin-side down in the hot pan.
- Cook the salmon for about 4-5 minutes until it starts to caramelize and turn golden.
- Gently flip the fillets and spoon some marinade over them, cooking for another 3-4 minutes or until cooked through.
- Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions, if desired.
Notes
For substitutions, you can use tilapia or firm tofu for a vegetarian alternative. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over low heat or in the oven at 350°F (175°C).
