Method
Cook the Rice
- In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the rice, a pinch of salt, and cover. Lower the heat and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until all the water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork and set aside.
Cook the Steak
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the sliced steak and season with salt and pepper. Sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce
- In the same skillet, lower the heat and add the remaining butter, minced garlic, honey, and soy sauce. Stir for about 2-3 minutes until the garlic is fragrant and the mixture is well-combined.
Combine
- Add the cooked steak back into the skillet and toss it in the honey garlic sauce until fully coated. Let it cook for an additional 2 minutes to incorporate the flavors.
Serve
- Place a generous scoop of rice on each plate and top with the honey garlic butter steak mixture. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
Notes
