Ingredients

For the Steak and Sauce
  • 1 pound Steak, sliced into strips (any cut you prefer) Opt for cuts like sirloin or flank steak for tenderness.
  • ¼ cup Honey
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons Butter For rich flavor.
  • ¼ cup Soy Sauce Or a low-sodium version if preferred.
  • Salt and Pepper to taste Salt and Pepper
For the Rice
  • 1 cup Rice, uncooked (jasmine or long-grain white rice works well)
  • 2 cups Water For cooking rice.
For Garnish
  • Green Onions, for garnish

Method

Cook the Rice
  1. In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the rice, a pinch of salt, and cover. Lower the heat and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until all the water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork and set aside.
Cook the Steak
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the sliced steak and season with salt and pepper. Sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, lower the heat and add the remaining butter, minced garlic, honey, and soy sauce. Stir for about 2-3 minutes until the garlic is fragrant and the mixture is well-combined.
Combine
  1. Add the cooked steak back into the skillet and toss it in the honey garlic sauce until fully coated. Let it cook for an additional 2 minutes to incorporate the flavors.
Serve
  1. Place a generous scoop of rice on each plate and top with the honey garlic butter steak mixture. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
