Prepare the Dough:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Roll the pizza dough into a rectangle, approximately 10x14 inches, on a floured surface.
Assemble the Fillings:
Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Layer pepperoni, salami or ham, and shredded mozzarella evenly. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes if desired.
Roll the Stromboli:
Starting from one long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch the seam and edges to seal securely. Place the stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Apply the Egg Wash:
Brush the entire stromboli with the beaten egg using a pastry brush. Sprinkle sesame seeds or dried oregano on top for extra flavor. Use a knife to make 4–5 slits on the top of the dough to release steam while baking.
Bake the Stromboli:
Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and fully cooked.
Serve:
Let the stromboli cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing into 1-inch pieces. Serve warm with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
