Ingredients
  

For the Bowl
  • 1 lb steak of your choice, cut into strips Choose a good quality cut like sirloin or ribeye.
  • 2 pieces ripe avocados, diced Fresh avocados add creaminess.
  • 1 cup corn kernels, fresh or frozen, roast for added flavor If using frozen corn, let it thaw before roasting.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil, for cooking the steak Extra olive oil may be necessary for cooking.
  • 1 tsp cumin Adds a warm flavor to the steak.
  • 1/2 tsp salt To taste.
  • 1/2 tsp pepper To taste.
For the Cilantro Cream Sauce
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Base of the sauce.
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped Key for flavor; can be replaced with parsley if desired.
  • 1 piece lime, juiced For zest and freshness.
  • a pinch salt To taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Season the steak strips with cumin, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
  2. For the corn, heat a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, and sauté the corn for 5-7 minutes until slightly charred. Set aside.
Cooking
  1. In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil if necessary and cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked to your preferred doneness. Let it rest before slicing.
  2. For the sauce, mix the sour cream, fresh cilantro, lime juice, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Adjust to taste.
Assembly
  1. In a serving bowl, start with a base of steak strips, add diced avocado, roasted corn, and drizzle it with the cilantro cream sauce.
  2. Mix everything together before serving for a heavenly combination of flavors.
