Ingredients
  

For the Crackers
  • 1 cup sourdough starter Make sure it's active
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour You can substitute with gluten-free flour
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Optional Toppings
  • sesame seeds, herbs, or cheese Add according to preference

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine your sourdough starter, all-purpose flour, olive oil, and salt. Stir until it forms a cohesive dough.
  2. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 2-3 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough to about 1/8-inch thickness.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Place your rolled-out dough on the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle with any optional toppings.
Baking
  1. Using a pizza cutter or knife, cut the dough into squares or rectangles.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the edges start to turn golden brown.
  3. Remove from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
Serving
  1. Serve the crackers on their own or with your favorite dips.

Notes

To keep your crackers fresh, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe bag for up to three months. Reheat in the oven at 300°F (150°C) for 5-10 minutes to regain crunch.
