Dry ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats Base of the granola bars.
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans) Choose your favorite type of nuts.
  • 1/2 cup dried fruits (like cranberries or raisins) Add for sweetness and flavor.
  • 1/4 cup seeds (such as chia or sunflower seeds) Optional for added nutrition.
  • a pinch salt Enhances flavor.

Wet ingredients

  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup Acts as a natural sweetener.
  • 1/2 cup nut butter (peanut or almond) Helps to bind the bars together.

Optional ingredients

  • to taste chocolate chips or coconut flakes Add for extra flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang.
  • In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, chopped nuts, dried fruits, seeds, and a pinch of salt. Stir well.

Combining ingredients

  • In a small saucepan over low heat, gently melt the nut butter and honey or maple syrup until smooth.
  • Pour the warm nut butter mixture over the oat mixture and stir until well-coated.

Baking

  • Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish, pressing firmly down.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
  • Allow to cool completely in the baking dish before cutting into bars.

Notes

Customize ingredients based on preferences. Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze individually for up to two months. Thaw overnight in the fridge.
