  • 4 thick slices of bread brioche or challah works best
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the Filling:
  • 1/2 cup diced strawberries
  • 1/2 cup sliced bananas
  • For Cooking:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • For Garnish:
  • Powdered sugar
  • Maple syrup
  • Extra strawberries and bananas

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Prepare the Cheesecake Filling
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
  • Step 2: Assemble the French Toast
  • Take each slice of bread and make a pocket by cutting a slit along one side, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  • Spread the cheesecake filling inside the pocket of each bread slice. Add a few slices of strawberries and bananas into each pocket.
  • Step 3: Prepare the Egg Mixture
  • In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
  • Step 4: Cook the French Toast
  • Heat butter in a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  • Dip each stuffed slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well-coated.
