Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, unsweetened applesauce, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  5. Shape the dough into donut forms; you can use a donut cutter or your hands.
Cooking
  1. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil and place a few donuts in the basket.
  2. Cook for about 5-6 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
  3. Remove from the air fryer and dust with powdered sugar or your desired topping while still warm.
  4. Continue this process until all donuts are cooked.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free all-purpose flour. Store donuts in an airtight container for up to 2 days, or freeze for longer storage. Reheat in the air fryer for best results.
