Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Chop the onions, mince the garlic, and dice the sweet potatoes into bite-sized pieces.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant (about 2-3 minutes).
- Add the ground turkey, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes).
- Stir in paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure the flavors meld.
- Add the diced sweet potatoes and chicken broth to the skillet, stirring to coat the sweet potatoes.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly. Top with shredded cheese, if desired.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until the sweet potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
