Grilled Corn on the Cob Recipe
Discover how to make perfect grilled corn on the cob! With smoky, charred kernels and a delicious buttery finish, this easy recipe is the ultimate summer side dish.
- 4 ears of corn husks and silk removed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: extra melted butter grated Parmesan, fresh herbs (such as parsley or cilantro), chili powder, lime wedges
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 400-450°F (200-230°C). This temperature helps create a nice char without overcooking the corn.
Prep the Corn
Brush each ear of corn with a light layer of olive oil or melted butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Grill the Corn
Place the corn directly on the grill grates. Grill for about 10-12 minutes, turning every 2-3 minutes with tongs until the kernels are tender and charred in spots. Adjust grilling time depending on your preferred level of char.
Optional Foil Method
For a gentler cook, wrap each ear in aluminum foil before placing it on the grill. Grill for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, then unwrap and place directly on the grill for 2-3 minutes to get some char.
Serve and Enjoy
Remove the corn from the grill and brush with extra melted butter if desired. Sprinkle with your favorite toppings or enjoy it plain.
