Grilled Chicken Breast Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Marinade:
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Marinate the Chicken:
  • Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for deeper flavor.
  • Preheat the Grill:
  • Heat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F/200°C). Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  • Grill the Chicken:
  • Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it on the hot grill. Discard the marinade. Cook for 5-7 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the chicken breasts. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Rest the Chicken:
  • Transfer the grilled chicken to a plate and let it rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, keeping the meat moist.
