Grilled California Avocado Chicken – A Fresh, Flavorful Delight

Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 ripe California avocados sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese optional
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

  • Tongs
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Small bowl for seasoning

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels, then brush with olive oil. Season both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Grill the Chicken: Place the chicken on the preheated grill and cook for 5-7 minutes per side or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Remove the chicken from the grill and set aside to rest for a few minutes.
  3. Assemble the Dish: While the chicken rests, slice the California avocados and drizzle with lime juice to prevent browning.
  4. Top the Chicken: Once the chicken is rested, place slices of avocado on top of each chicken breast. If desired, sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top and return to the grill for 1-2 minutes to melt the cheese.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve immediately.
