Ingredients

Pasta and Sauce Ingredients
  • 8 oz gluten-free pasta (penne or spaghetti) Choose a brand that holds shape well.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter For a rich flavor.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adds depth of flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Provides creamy texture.
  • 1 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese Use real cheese for best results.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust based on preference.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley For garnish.

Method

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gluten-free pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Usually, this takes around 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant and golden.
  2. Pour the heavy cream into the skillet with the garlic. Stir and bring it to a gentle simmer, allowing it to thicken slightly for about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Gradually add the grated parmesan cheese, whisking continuously until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Combining and Serving
  1. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, ensuring each piece is well-coated in the creamy garlic sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
  2. Take your gluten-free garlic parmesan pasta off the heat. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy while warm!

Notes

Experiment with different brands of gluten-free pasta to find the best texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet, adding a splash of cream or water.
