  • 2 pieces sea bass fillets Tender and fresh
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, minced Adds aromatic kick
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced For frying and garnishing
  • to taste salt For seasoning
  • to taste black pepper For seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil For frying
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari For seasoning

Method

Preparation
  1. Pat the sea bass fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Thinly slice the onion and mince the ginger.
Cooking
  1. In a large non-stick skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and sauté until golden and crispy, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the seasoned sea bass fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. In the last minute of cooking, sprinkle the minced ginger over the sea bass.
  5. Once cooked, pile the fried onions on top, drizzle with soy sauce, and serve hot.

Notes

For perfect crispy onions, ensure the oil is hot enough before frying. You can substitute sea bass with other white fish, adjusting cooking times as necessary. Avoid overcrowding the pan when frying.
