Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces ripe bananas Look for bananas with a few brown spots.
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup sugar Adjust based on taste preferences.
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon Feel free to add more for extra flavor.
  • ½ cup oil For frying; use enough to coat the bottom of the skillet.
  • 1 pinch salt

Method

Preparation
  1. Peel the bananas and slice them into ½-inch thick pieces.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, pour in the oil, and heat it over medium heat until it shimmers.
  2. Take each banana slice and lightly coat it in the flour mixture.
  3. Carefully place the coated banana slices into the hot oil, leaving space between each piece.
  4. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they turn golden brown.
  5. Once cooked, remove the fried bananas from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any excess oil.
Serving
  1. Dust with extra cinnamon and sugar if desired, and serve warm. Consider topping with ice cream or honey.

Notes

These bananas can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in a dry skillet over low heat for best results.
