Ingredients

For the Shrimp Skewers
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Skewers (wooden or metal) Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by rinsing the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, melted butter, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper. Whisk together until well combined.
  3. Add the shrimp to the marinade, ensuring they’re evenly coated. Let them sit for about 10 minutes.
  4. Preheat your grill or grill pan on medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the shrimp onto your skewers, leaving a little space between each one.
Cooking
  1. Once the grill is hot, place the skewers on it. Grill each side for about 3-4 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  2. Remove from the grill and drizzle any remaining garlic butter over the skewers. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add crushed red pepper flakes to the marinade. You can substitute shrimp with fish like salmon or cod. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
