Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 to 2 pounds)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (about 1 ounce)
  • 1 cup heavy cream or sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (for topping)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh parsley or chives (for garnish)

Method

Preparation
  1. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and half the ranch seasoning mix.
Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, lower the heat and add the remaining ranch seasoning mix, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Stir everything together until well combined and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  3. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, coating it in the creamy ranch sauce. Let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the chicken to absorb the flavors.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken in the last few minutes of cooking. Allow the cheese to melt before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley or chives for added flavor.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, microwave for 1-2 minutes, stirring halfway or warm on stovetop over low heat.
