Preparation
- Wash the fresh broccoli florets thoroughly under cold water and pat dry.
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
Cooking
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds or until fragrant, avoiding burning.
- Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and toss with garlic-infused oil, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and bright green.
- Just before removing from heat, splash the lemon juice for extra flavor.
- If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over hot broccoli and let it melt slightly.
- Serve hot.
Notes
Feel free to swap out seasonings, being careful not to overcrowd the skillet for even cooking. To store leftovers, cool completely and place in an airtight container. Refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in a skillet over low heat or microwave carefully.
