Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 pieces zest of lemons Use the zest from the lemons used for juice.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, add the heavy cream and sugar. Stir continuously until the sugar dissolves and the mixture reaches a gentle boil.
  2. Allow the cream and sugar to simmer for 3-4 minutes to infuse sweetness.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice and zest.
  4. Let the mixture cool for about 10 minutes at room temperature.
  5. Pour into individual glasses or a large bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set.
  6. Serve with additional lemon zest or fresh berries on top.

Notes

For a lower-calorie version, substitute half of the heavy cream with yogurt. Be patient with chilling time to ensure proper setting. Avoid boiling the cream too long to prevent a grainy texture.
