- In a saucepan over medium heat, add the heavy cream and sugar. Stir continuously until the sugar dissolves and the mixture reaches a gentle boil.
- Allow the cream and sugar to simmer for 3-4 minutes to infuse sweetness.
- Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice and zest.
- Let the mixture cool for about 10 minutes at room temperature.
- Pour into individual glasses or a large bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set.
- Serve with additional lemon zest or fresh berries on top.
Notes
For a lower-calorie version, substitute half of the heavy cream with yogurt. Be patient with chilling time to ensure proper setting. Avoid boiling the cream too long to prevent a grainy texture.
