Egg Sandwich Recipe

This classic egg sandwich recipe is quick, delicious, and perfect for breakfast on-the-go. With a creamy, scrambled egg filling and your choice of toppings, it’s a satisfying start to any day!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon milk or cream optional, for creamier eggs
  • 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil
  • 1 slice of cheese American, cheddar, or Swiss
  • 2 slices of bread or 1 bun toasted
  • Optional toppings: sliced avocado bacon, tomato, spinach, or hot sauce

  • Whisk

  • Toaster or toaster oven

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Eggs
  2. Crack the eggs into a small bowl. Add a pinch of salt, pepper, and milk or cream, if using. Whisk until the yolks and whites are fully combined.
  3. Cook the Eggs
  4. Heat the butter or oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat. Pour in the egg mixture and let it sit for a few seconds before gently stirring. Cook the eggs slowly, stirring often, until they are just set and creamy. Remove from heat.
  5. Assemble the Sandwich
  6. Toast the bread or bun to your desired level of crispiness. Place a slice of cheese on one piece of the toast. Spoon the scrambled eggs over the cheese, then add any additional toppings, such as avocado slices, bacon, or spinach.
  7. Finish and Serve
  8. Place the other slice of bread on top, gently pressing to secure the sandwich. Serve warm, and enjoy!
