Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup warm water (about 110°F)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix well to ensure that the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  2. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add the warm water and olive oil. Mix with a wooden spoon or your hands until a rough dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead it for about 5-7 minutes until it's smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the kneaded dough into a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth or plastic wrap, and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
  5. After resting, punch down the dough gently before transferring it to a clean surface. Shape the dough into a loaf or round shape.
  6. Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for about 5 minutes.
  7. Place the shaped dough into the air fryer basket lined with parchment paper.
Cooking
  1. Cook in the air fryer for about 25-30 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  2. Once done, remove the bread and let it cool on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

To store, wrap tightly in plastic wrap or place in an airtight container. It stays fresh for 2-3 days at room temperature. For longer storage, freeze sliced pieces for up to three months.
