Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 cups cauliflower florets (fresh or frozen)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or your favorite herbs)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for added richness)
  • to garnish chopped parsley

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by chopping your cauliflower into small florets, and set aside. Measure out your garlic and spices.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. If you choose to skip the olive oil, you can add the butter directly to the pan.
  2. Add minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.
  3. Add the ground turkey into the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Stir in the cauliflower florets, followed by adding the butter. Mix everything well to combine, and continue to cook for another 8-10 minutes or until the cauliflower is tender.
Finishing Touches
  1. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Sprinkle chopped parsley on top for a pop of color and freshness.
  2. Remove from heat and serve hot, either straight from the skillet or plated up for family-style dining.

Notes

For more flavor, try adding a splash of lemon juice just before serving to brighten up the dish. You can also toss in chickpeas or beans for added protein and mix in your favorite vegetables or spinach when the turkey is halfway cooked. Avoid overcooking the cauliflower to keep it tender yet slightly crunchy.
