  • 1 can fruit pie filling (21 oz) - cherry, blueberry, or peach Choose any halal-friendly fruit filling.
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (melted) Ensure butter is fully melted for optimal saturation.
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans Optional
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Optional

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with cooking spray or a light coat of oil.
  3. Pour the fruit pie filling evenly across the bottom of the baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the fruit filling. Don’t stir; just make sure it’s well covered.
  5. Pour the melted butter over the cake mix layer. It’s important not to mix it in; just let it sit on top.
  6. If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts and cinnamon over the top for added crunch and flavor.
  7. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Allow the cake to cool slightly before serving. Top with whipped cream or halal-friendly ice cream as desired.

Notes

For best results, avoid mixing the layers to prevent sogginess. You can substitute the fruit filling for your favorites or attempt a mix.
