Ingredients
  

For the wraps
  • 2 cups boneless, halal chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 4 pieces whole wheat or regular wraps
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs choose whole wheat for a healthier option
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or your preferred cooking oil for added moisture
  • Optional toppings: Sliced tomatoes, lettuce, or your favorite condiments

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Season your chicken strips with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix well.
  2. In another bowl, pour your breadcrumbs. Coat each seasoned chicken strip evenly with the breadcrumbs.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Brush or spray the air fryer basket with olive oil.
  2. Place the coated chicken strips in a single layer in the basket. Air fry for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until cooked through and crispy.
Assembly
  1. Once the chicken is cooked, take a wrap and place a few chicken strips in the center. Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  2. Roll the wrap tightly, tucking in the ends. Return the wraps to the air fryer and air fry for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  3. Slice the wraps in half and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

You can substitute chicken for halal turkey or grilled vegetables for a vegetarian option. Monitor wraps as they crisp; avoid overcrowding the air fryer.
