- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract together until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each is well incorporated before adding the next.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 9 to 11 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a couple of minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
