  • 4 cups cabbage, shredded Green or Napa cabbage works well
  • 1 cup bell pepper, sliced Any color is fine, offers crunch and sweetness
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned Adds sweetness and color
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Tamari can be used for gluten-free option
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce Optional but enhances flavor
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil Adds depth of flavor
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic enhances aroma
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced Fresh ginger adds a nice kick
  • Salt and pepper to taste Season as preferred
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil For frying

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather all your ingredients and slice the chicken and veggies.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced chicken to the pan. Season with salt and pepper. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and slightly golden.
  3. Toss in the minced garlic and ginger, stirring for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Mix in the cabbage, bell peppers, and carrots. Stir and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using), tossing to combine and ensuring all ingredients are well-coated.
  6. Remove the stir fry from the heat, drizzle with sesame oil, and serve hot.

Notes

For added texture and flavor, consider topping with sesame seeds or chili flakes. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge, or freeze individual portions for up to 3 months.
