Preparation
- In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken pieces and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, minced ginger, and garlic.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the cooked chicken.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and allow the chicken to simmer in the sauce for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- In another bowl, mix cornstarch with water, then pour it into the skillet.
- Stir constantly until the sauce thickens, which should take around 1-2 minutes.
- Once the sauce has thickened, remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze for 2-3 months. Reheat on the stovetop over low heat or in the microwave until warmed through.
