Easy Air Fryer Chicken Drumsticks Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 6 –8 chicken drumsticks
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder optional, for a spicy kick
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer:
  2. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  3. Prepare the Drumsticks:
  4. Pat the drumsticks dry with paper towels to ensure crispy skin.
  5. Place the drumsticks in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
  6. Season the Chicken:
  7. In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, chili powder (if using), salt, and black pepper.
  8. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the drumsticks, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  9. Cook the Drumsticks:
  10. Arrange the drumsticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each piece for even cooking.
  11. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the drumsticks are golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  12. Serve:
  13. Let the drumsticks rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Pair with your favorite dipping sauce, coleslaw, or a side salad.
