Preparation
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with diced onions (if using) until fully browned—about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess grease if necessary.
- Once cooked, return the beef to the skillet, sprinkle with garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well, allowing the flavors to meld together for another 2-3 minutes.
- Lay out a tortilla on a flat surface. Add a layer of the beef mixture, followed by a generous sprinkle of shredded cheese. Roll tightly, tucking in the sides as you go to create a burrito-like wrap.
- Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and preheat for about 5 minutes.
- Lightly spray the wraps with cooking spray to achieve that golden-brown crisp. Place them seam side down in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd them. Air fry for 7-10 minutes, checking midway through for doneness. Flip the wraps halfway to ensure they are evenly crispy.
- Once done, allow the wraps to cool slightly, then slice in half and serve with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
Substitutions: Try ground turkey or chicken for a leaner version or switch up cheeses for a different flavor. Keep an eye on the wraps in the air fryer as cooking times may vary by model.
