Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter Use more butter if desired for greasing.
  • 10 oz mini marshmallows Alternatively, use about 6 cups of marshmallow fluff.
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal Ensure the cereal is fresh for the best crunch.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract For added flavor.
  • 1 cup pastel-colored sprinkles Any decorative toppings can be used.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by greasing a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter, stirring continuously.
  3. Once the butter is melted, add in the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth, about 2-3 minutes. Add in the vanilla extract and stir until well incorporated.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and add the Rice Krispies cereal to the melted marshmallow mixture, gently stirring until the cereal is completely coated.
  5. Once combined, gently fold in the pastel-colored sprinkles.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Press down evenly with a spatula or your hands.
  7. Allow the treats to cool completely for about 30 minutes. Once cooled, cut into squares and serve.

Notes

To keep treats fresh, store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe container for up to 2 months. Reheat by letting sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes.
