- In a large bowl, measure out the Rice Chex cereal and set it aside for later.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, creamy peanut butter, and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
- Once melted, pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal. Gently fold the cereal with a spatula until fully coated.
- Pour the coated cereal into a large resealable plastic bag or a bowl. Add the powdered sugar and seal the bag. Shake until the cereal is uniformly coated with the sugary goodness.
- If desired, mix in the pastel-colored candy-coated chocolates for an extra festive touch.
- Spread the Puppy Chow out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to cool and set for about 10 minutes.
- Once cooled, serve in a bowl or bag as a delightful snack!
