Method
Preparation of the Crust
- Combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar in a mixing bowl. Stir until the mixture is evenly moistened.
- Press this mixture firmly into the base of a 9-inch springform pan to create a crust. Use the back of a measuring cup to pack it down tightly.
Making the Filling
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Slowly add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract while continually mixing.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until well combined.
Assembling the Cheesecake
- Pour the creamy filling over the prepared crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Cover the pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.
Adding Toppings
- Once set, carefully remove the sides of the springform pan.
- Decorate the top with fresh berries and drizzle with caramel or chocolate sauce if desired.
