- Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in the microwave for 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted chocolate with the crispy rice cereal, mini marshmallows, and chopped nuts (if using). Stir gently until everything is coated in chocolate.
- Using a spoon, scoop out portions of the mixture and shape them into nests on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Make a small indentation in the center to hold the chocolate candies.
- Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, allowing the chocolates to harden.
- Once set, fill the nests with colorful candy-coated chocolates for a beautiful finish. Serve immediately or store for later.
Notes
For a nut-free option, skip the nuts or replace them with extra marshmallows or dried fruits. Avoid overheating your chocolate to prevent burning.
