  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Mix-Ins
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pastel M&Ms
  • 1/2 cup Easter-themed sprinkles

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips, pastel M&Ms, and Easter sprinkles.
  7. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving enough space between each cookie.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  2. Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with a glass of cold milk or coffee.

Notes

Ensure your butter is at room temperature for the best texture. For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to five days or freeze for up to three months.
