  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey (make sure it's Halal)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (check for Halal compliance)
  • 1 head of lettuce, chopped
  • 1 piece tomato, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (any preferred cheese)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup salsa (opt for Halal-friendly options)

Method
 

Cooking the Meat
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey for about 5-7 minutes, breaking it up for an even texture.
  2. Once the meat is browned, drain any excess grease and add the taco seasoning, following package instructions and cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
Preparing the Vegetables
  1. While the meat cooks, chop the lettuce and dice the tomato to balance the flavors.
Assembling the Salad
  1. In a large bowl, layer the chopped lettuce, followed by the seasoned meat, diced tomato, shredded cheese, and drizzle sour cream on top.
  2. Before serving, crush the Doritos on top for a delightful crunch, and offer additional salsa on the side.
  3. Toss the salad gently and serve on a large platter for everyone to customize their own bowls.
