Cooking the Beef
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, stirring occasionally until fully cooked (about 8-10 minutes). Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the taco seasoning mix and follow the package instructions, usually adding a small amount of water to combine. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
Preparing the Salad
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, black beans, and corn.
- Once the beef is seasoned and ready, add it to the bowl with the salad mixture.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top, then crush the Doritos and sprinkle them on as the finishing touch.
- Finally, add a dollop of sour cream and drizzle salsa over the top for added flavor.
Notes
Use fresh veggies for added flavor and nutrients. Store leftover salad in an airtight container, but keep Doritos separate for optimal crunch.
